I can verify, bidding on the the keyword “food sale” will result in your ads being displayed when people search for “wild animal meat on sale“.
No way is meat a synonym for food. This is definitely a chino and kayak paradox (all kayaks are chinos, but not all chinos are kayak) and Google should resolve this problem.
